The article described our work in La Sano, Bani to date and celebrated our progress over the past three years. Infante Sano’s Country Director in the Dominican Republic, Dr. Sara Tolentino was quoted reflecting on how she views the changes in La Saona since the start of our work:

“The difference is that now the community is empowered with critical knowledge to protect their health and save lives. In La Saona, we have brought primary healthcare directly to the community, bringing care that is not over-medicalized or politicized. We have brought healthcare into their homes. “
