Common Threads InterFaith Forum
Project Launch:
In the El Haouz Province of Morocco, many residents do not have a significant understanding and knowledge of outside religions, which can potentially lead to misunderstandings and missed opportunity for collaboration. World Connect supported the Association Al Anwar in hosting an interfaith forum in the town of Tamslouht, bringing young people together with university professors, religious leaders and representatives from the government's Islamic Affairs ministry to have an interfaith dialogue about timely and important issues. A committee is being assembled to provide resources for individuals and groups wishing to develop further understanding of the impact of religion within Morocco and around the world following on from the forum.
