Advanced Math and Science: Bracelet Fundraiser

Advanced Math and Science: Bracelet Fundraiser
Leaders of Tomorrow is a student run group which meets 2 to 3 times per month. Our mission is to lead by example by supporting our school with community service projects as needed as well as outreach projects that will benefit others in need within our AMSA communities locally, nationally and internationally. Some of our favorite activities include: Cooking and serving for the Clinton Soup Kitchen, Special Olympics Trick or Trot Fundraiser, Homemade Bread Baking for Local Food Pantry, Hurricane Sandy Relief for NY and NJ, Military Troop Collections for the Holidays, Building Homes with Habitat for Humanity, and most recently working with World Connect on a Special Rwanda Project.

The students from the Leaders of Tomorrow group came up with the idea to create a bracelet with the AMSA logo and beads with our school colors. They are much like the popular Alex and Ari bracelets. They asked for permission to sell them in our school store and they set up a table at our annual International Festival last spring. With these two efforts, they were able to raise $500.00 for the Rwanda project.
