Brigada Verde is a Peace Corps program to educate kids about the environment and conservation. A Brigada Verde group in the Dominican Republic started a community mural project consisting of several environmentally themed murals and a world map. These murals were painted on the outer walls of a local school. In addition, a portion of the funds were used to sponsor environmental trips to different parks and natural wonders of the country and to other Brigada Verde groups around the country. The purpose of these trips were to educate the kids about the environment and different aspects of ecosystems, conservation and wildlife.Explore other Projects
