Project Launch: 8-27-19
Through this recycling initiative called Ecobarter, the community will empower women in the Kuje community with vocational skills, tools, and entrepreneurial training to capture value from everyday waste. 20 women will be trained on how to make backpacks, bags, footwear, and other handmade products using recycled goods. Through this one week intensive training, participants will build on existing skills, adding sewing, cutting machines, and improved access to global marekt via digital marketing. Women will have access to microloans which will be made avialable using proceeds from the online store.
