Country: Belize
Project Status: Funded
Impact Sector: Environment
Project Investment: $500.00
Project Launch:
In 2008, World Connect’s Kids to Kids program awarded $500 to the Belize Environmental Club to support the 4-H Altun Ha Club in conducting an environmental camp for young people and in designing road signs for their school grounds and gardens, warning motorists to use caution and slow down. The camp educated attendees, including both youth and adults, on the importance of the natural environment and efforts to preserve it, and focused on encouraging participants to share their new knowledge upon returning to their respective districts. The programming also exposed attendees to parts of Belize’s environment that they may otherwise not have had the opportunity to see and experience firsthand.Explore other Projects
