Reusable shopping bags making
Project Launch: 3-14-23
The Kayembe community women's group aims to launch a local social enterprise producing reusable bags to help curb plastic wastage and foster more sustainable practices in the community. Sixty women and girls will be trained on how to make different types of reusable bags. Materials such as used clothing, used polythene bags and pine needles will be used to make the reusable bags. In addition, members of the community will be educated on benefits of using the products instead of traditional plastic bags.
